01 / THE CUTOVER
Control-M, Tidal, and ActiveBatch migrations on video
In each episode of The Cutover, Darrell Walker, Managing Solution Engineer at JAMS Software, runs JUMP on a real export and takes it from Dry Run to converted jobs landing in JAMS Scheduler. Nothing is skipped, including the Dry Run.
Control-M: JUMP on a Control-M XML export. 17:58, in 12 chapters.
Tidal: a 116-job Tidal extract, from Dry Run to a live migration. 17:51, in 11 chapters.
ActiveBatch: live now.
JUMP converts competitor job definitions across nine platforms and automates roughly 75% of the conversion. Watch The Cutover or try JUMP free.
02 / OPSGENIE END OF LIFE
The clock starts when you start migrating
Atlassian has set April 5, 2027, as the end of Opsgenie support. According to Atlassian’s timeline, once a team starts the migration tool, Opsgenie shuts off automatically 120 days later.
Run JAMS Incident Management alongside Opsgenie, page a real person from it, and only then start Atlassian’s migration tool. The 14-day trial includes every feature, needs no credit card, and deletes nothing on day 14. Starter is $6 per user per month, billed annually. Teams of five or fewer can stay on Free.
03 / JAMS INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
What shipped in JAMS Incident Management since September
The Android app can break through Do Not Disturb. Webex alerts are included on every plan, Free among them. Admins can require a second person to approve an action, such as restarting a JAMS Scheduler job, before it runs, and every step is recorded in the Audit Trail. New integrations cover Grafana, Jira, Freshservice, GoAnywhere MFT, and Skybot Scheduler.
