JAMS GoAnywhere MFT integration
Schedule GoAnywhere MFT Projects with JAMS Scheduler
JAMS Scheduler runs and monitors your existing GoAnywhere MFT projects, passes job parameters into project variables, and chains each transfer to the jobs that feed it or wait on it.

What JAMS Scheduler Runs in GoAnywhere MFT
Build the project in GoAnywhere MFT the way you do today. A JAMS job points at its domain, path, and name, and runs it on a schedule or when an upstream job finishes, using the same dependencies as any other job.
Two limits to know: you can’t create or edit projects from JAMS Scheduler, and values from GoAnywhere MFT don’t pass back into JAMS.
How JAMS Scheduler Connects to GoAnywhere MFT
JAMS Scheduler calls the GoAnywhere MFT REST API (v1) on your GoAnywhere server. You give it the server address, the project’s domain, path, and name, and a credential to authenticate with.
Use basic authentication with a GoAnywhere login, or store a GoAnywhere user API key as the credential’s password for token authentication. The token is the recommended option.

GoAnywhere MFT Transfers in a Cross-Platform Workflow
A transfer is usually one step in a longer chain. A GoAnywhere MFT project can wait for a SQL Server export to finish, send the file, then start the PowerShell script that loads it on the other side.
If the transfer fails, you get the same alert you’d get for any other failed job.

Case Study
The Automation Center of Excellence: JAMS and GoAnywhere at DXLG
Destination XL Group, Inc. (DXLG) is a long-time Ecometry (JDA Direct Commerce) user. When Ecometry dropped HP 3000 support in favor of Windows, DXLG needed to find a job scheduler that could mirror current processing and boast a robust feature set to grow with the company.
GoAnywhere FAQ
Can JAMS Scheduler pass variables into a GoAnywhere MFT project?
Yes. Add a parameter to the JAMS job with the same name as the project variable. Its value overrides the variable when the project runs.
Can I cancel a GoAnywhere MFT project from JAMS?
Yes, if it’s active or paused in GoAnywhere MFT. Right-click the job in the Monitor view and cancel it. A queued project is canceled when it moves to active.
Can JAMS Scheduler create or edit GoAnywhere MFT projects?
No. Build and edit projects in GoAnywhere MFT, then run them from JAMS Scheduler. Values from the project also don’t pass back into JAMS.
