What JAMS Scheduler Runs in PeopleSoft
JAMS Scheduler can start any of the 12 process types PeopleSoft delivers: Application Engine, COBOL SQL, CRW Online, Crystal, Crystal Check, nVision, nVision-Report, nVision-ReportBook, PS Job, SQR Process, SQR Report, and XML Publisher. Custom process types work too if they’re API Aware.
How JAMS Scheduler Connects to PeopleSoft
The integration has two parts. JAMS Scheduler captures the processes you want to schedule, and an Application Engine program, MVP_SCHDPRCS, schedules them through the PeopleSoft Process Scheduler API, watches them, and cancels them when needed.
You import the program as a project in Application Designer. It uses one table, PS_MVP_SCHD_RCNTL, and your PeopleSoft admin picks the tablespace.
