Abstract

SQL Server can run your jobs, but it will not tell you when they silently fail at 2 a.m., and it will not deploy your scripts consistently from dev to QA to production. This session tackles both problems head-on.

We’ll start with JAMS Scheduler basics: centralizing job scheduling beyond SQL Server Agent, orchestrating OS-level tasks alongside your database jobs, and deploying parameterized SQL scripts across environments without hardcoding connection strings for every server.

Then we’ll turn to the part most SQL Server shops still handle badly: alerting. You’ll see how JAMS Incident Management closes the gap between “the job failed” and “someone on call actually knows about it,” with policy-driven escalation across voice, SMS, Teams, Slack, and more.

Finally, we’ll look at how JAX, JAMS’s AI agent, lets non-SQL teammates like support and operations staff check job status and incident history in plain language, without needing to open SQL Server Management Studio.
